Welcome to The Lorenza Y Robinson Foundation
Our foundation is committed to providing financial support to educators’ fellowship programs within the parochial school system of Washington, D.C. and the inner cities of the United States. We hope to enhance the teachers’ skill sets for education and training in Catholic schools in these areas.
How We Started
The Lorenza Y Robinson Foundation was founded by James E. Robinson IV on his mother’s 80th birthday as a legacy. Educational development was the hallmark of Mrs. Robinson’s professional career. During her time, the slots for teaching were held by Catholic nuns of several teaching orders.
Our foundation helps improve the environment of early childhood educators. Each grant we offer brings Mrs. Robinson's vision to life—to give ongoing support and professional assistance to the educators of the parochial schools nationwide.
About Our Foundation
The Lorenza Y Robinson Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization. Its purpose is to offer financial incentives to educators from historically black colleges and universities to further their competence in the industry.
We intend to assist those who have a similar profile as Mrs. Robinson in becoming talented, progressive, and caring educators for the coming generations. We support Mrs. Robinson's dream of passing on the nurturing educational environment that she experienced. Our foundation aims to motivate highly qualified, dedicated, and diverse educators in the parochial school system within the U.S.
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer financial incentives to educators from historically black colleges so they can teach in Catholic schools previously manned by the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.
